Undigested words
They sit across the table strangers to me reminiscing with my friend things foreign. One of them chews and munches another's words and pours them out undigested. I drink in the entire scene longing for escape. My mother used to call such a person "parrot ears"' for they only repeat what they hear, thinking long ago lost.
